 The Game in the German Language Training for Lexical Competence Development

Abstract

 The following article represents the results of games’ applying during work upon lexical knowledge in German teaching in eight grade at language school. It gives directions for appropriate games’ applying in foreign language classes in combination with other traditional and modern forms of education. This is meant to increase the effective assimilation and the use  of lexical knowledge by students learning foreign language intensively.

Abstract

The school is the mean by which education best accomplishes its tasks. According to the goals it can take different forms - it can be elite or mass, religious or secular, paid or free.  What school is needed today? What kind of education do we want to develop in it? And in the future? These questions are attempted to be answered in this essay. And yet - the school of the future creates the foundation - to nurture the need for knowledge, because it is more important than knowledge itself!

New Challenges to the Development of Reading Skills in Foreign Language (for Eighth Grade Students)

Abstract

The following article represents an analysis of results from a diagnostic of the level of development of the reading skills in german in the 8th grade of a language highschool based on a loose connection with the standards described in the Common European Language Framework and the school curriculum for german by the Ministry of Education and Science. The results give an opportunity to assess and diagnose certain achievements of the students and also to create a curriculum for further activity which will help elevate the quality and effectiveness of the teaching process.

Abstract

The article deals with the competence approach, which, according to the authors, is a condition for the formation and development of professional and communicative competence of students in accordance with the needs of the international tourism market. The use of competence-based approach in the learning process allows forming a conscious attitude to the development of professional skills under the conditions of the activity nature of training and the orientation of the educational process to the development of independence and responsibility of students.
